JOLIET — A 40-year-old Joliet man named Richard Presswood was found passed out behind the wheel of his Ford 150 pickup truck at St. Joe’s Park on Sunday evening, according to Joliet police, resulting in charges of DUI, DUI-BAC .08 or More and endangering the life or health of a child.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 7:35 p.m., an officer working a special assignment detail at St. Joseph Park, 700 Theodore St., was notified of a Ford F150 in the grass east of the park and the driver appeared to be unconscious behind the wheel.

The officer saw that the driver appeared to be asleep at the wheel. Officers also discovered a 10- year-old child in the backseat. The child woke up the man, and officers identified him as Presswood and determined the child to be his son.
