Oscar Mayer's Famed Wienermobile Coming To Ross

PITTSBURGH, PA — The famed Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is coming to town, making three stops in the Pittsburgh area beginning Tuesday.

The 27-foot long hot dog on wheels will appear at Tuesday at the BJs in Bridgeville from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Wednesday, it’s the BJ’s in Ross from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Saturday, it will be at the Butler AM Rotary’s Carved in Icc event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to Oscar Mayer, the Wienermobile is driven by folks known as “hotdoggers” who hand out souvenirs to fans. There are six Wienermobiles traveling across the country at all times.

The Wienermobiles are sophisticated vehicles, sporting V8 engines, 52-inch flat-screen TVs, removable “bun roofs” and hot dog-shaped dashboards.
