Club Pilates Opens New Shelton Location At Fountain Square

SHELTON, CT — Club Pilates, a fitness studio focused on pilates-related classes with a number of locations across the state and beyond, recently opened its newest studio in Shelton.

Located at 785 Bridgeport Avenue in the Fountain Square plaza, Club Pilates held its grand opening earlier this month.

In seeking to open her second location, franchise owner Danielle Noga-Sisto said Shelton had a number of attributes that made it a good fit for the company.

“Shelton is a growing community with well known brands [and] businesses heavily investing in the area,” Noga-Sisto said to Patch. “The city’s demographics aligns perfectly with our Club Pilates core customer.”

The location in Fountain Square, where a number of new businesses have opened this year alone, was also an enticing factor.

“Fountain Square is a beautiful plaza in a prime location on Bridgeport Avenue,” Noga-Sisto said, “easily accessible from the highways with strong anchor tenants and great parking.”

Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce President Bill Purcell celebrated the addition of Club Pilates to the growing roster of businesses that have recently taken up residence at Fountain Square.

Recent businesses that have opened at the plaza in 2024 include Crumbl Cookies, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Sugar Llamas, as well as other health and wellness businesses such as Physicians One Urgent Care, Stretch Labs, European Wax Center and a new Eye Care Center, according to Purcell.

Playa Bowls, a chain specializing in acaí, pitaya and coconut bowls and signature smoothies, also announced plans earlier this month to open a new location at Fountain Square later this year.

“Club Pilates is the latest addition to this growing cluster of exciting new businesses that have taken up residency at Fountain Square over the past several months,” Purcell said. “This is the second Club Pilates franchise owned by Danielle Noga-Sisto, and it is off to a great start with many instructional classes fully booked seven days a week.”

According to Noga-Sisto, Club Pilates is the only boutique fitness pilates studio in Shelton. Offering group classes with 12 reformers, the studio is open seven days a week and runs an average of 80 classes per week.

“Our team is amazing,” Noga-Sisto said, “and all of our instructors have extensive training, certifications and years of experience.”

The studio also offers free intro classes weekly, during which interested but unsure customers can learn more about the Club Pilates experience.

“If group fitness is not for you or looking for a one-on-one experience, we offer private training sessions as well,” Noga-Sisto said.

Noga-Sisto encouraged anyone interested in pilates, which she referred to as “life-changing,” to come to Fountain Square and give it a try, no matter how experienced they are.

“It is truly for everybody,” Noga-Sisto said. “Don’t be intimidated by the equipment, your fitness level or lack of experience. We love beginners.”
