Affordable Burger & Breakfast Joint Opens In Bed-Stuy

BED-STUY, NY — A new burger joint recently opened in Bed-Stuy, bringing affordable eats and an outdoor patio to Patchen Avenue.

The spot on Patchen Avenue near Macon Street opened in late April serving up locally sourced baked goods, breakfast, sandwiches and burgers.

Owners told Brownstoner they want Winfield’s to be a community space.

Owners were sure to keep prices affordable and food locally sourced. It’s menu offers $10 burgers, $8 breakfast sandwiches and $3 bagels with cream cheese — prices climb up to $15 for the most expensive item on the menu, a salmon burger.

Alongside breakfast and lunch menu, Winfield’s will serve bagels from Just Bagels in “da Bronx” and muffins and croissants from International Delights in New Jersey.

The spot boasts an outdoor seating area lined with brick and artwork, and the inside has black and white photos of famous people lining the walls — including a famous picture of John Lennon in a New York City t-shirt.

Owner Winfield Harrell Jr. grew up in Bed-Stuy and now lives in Clinton Hill, according to Brownstoner. He owns the building at 212 Patchen Ave. and previously operated Want’z Pizza and Crave out of the location, Brownstoner reported.

The corner of Patchen Avenue and Macon Street is getting a total facelift. Winfield’s sits just next-door to new cafe and book store, Early Yves, which opened in late May.
