R-Truth has been named the Honorary Pace Car Driver for the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race scheduled in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina this Saturday, May 18th.
As noted, Charlotte Flair will be the Honorary Pace Car Driver at the same track, the Charlotte Motor Speedway, for NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 26th.
WWE.com issued the following announcement on Tuesday to promote R-Truth’s appearance at this Saturday’s NASCAR event:

The WWE Universe will recognize a familiar face on the NASCAR speedway this weekend.
R-Truth has been named the honorary pace car driver for the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star race, which is set to take place Saturday, May 18, in his native Charlotte, N.C. The former United States Champion will hold court at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he will pace the field for one of the most exciting all-star events in sports. The festivities begin Saturday at 6 p.m. ET on FS1 with the Monster Energy Open and continue with the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race at 8 p.m. ET.
SmackDown LIVE Superstar (and another Charlotte native) Charlotte Flair will hit the same North Carolina racetrack, as the eight-time Women’s Champion will also serve as honorary pace car driver for the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 26.
