Several Burglaries Reported Tuesday In Lemont Township: Sheriff

LEMONT, IL — Several burglaries were reported Tuesday in unincorporated Lemont Township, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office told Patch.

At 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, police detectives received a report of a residential burglary that had happened earlier that morning on Raphael Street. Detectives learned that three people had gained entry to multiple vehicles in the driveway and inside the garage of the home, the sheriff’s office said.

The vehicles were ransacked, and credit cards and cash were stolen, police said.

The sheriff’s office believes that the offenders also burglarized vehicles and garages on El Greco Street, Baltic Circle and Derby Road.

Surveillance video in the area showed the offenders driving a dark-colored Chrysler 300 with no front plate. The vehicle was found abandoned in Will County, the sheriff’s office said.
