Concord Wins Season Opener Against Nashua North, 41 to 9

CONCORD, NH — Concord easily won its season opener against Nashua North on Wednesday night in Nashua, 41 to 9.

The Crimson Tide was solid throughout the night against the Titans and even waived four forfeits in the heavyweight categories after securing the win.

Winning by falls for Concord were Biswas Darji over Nataliemaye Demmons in the 113-pound weight category, Jaxon Carter over Julian Palladini in the 144, Maximus Chung over Fernando Naranjo in the 157, and Anthony Gualtieri over Yuri Soraes in the 165.

Also winning for Concord were Cullen Burke in the 126 over Sebastian Ochoa, 16-1, Owen Gregg over Hayden Durocher in the 132 category by decision, 7-6, and Sawyer McCready over Kayden Vallerand-Kennaelly, 7-3.

In the 120-weight category, Owen Gagnon of Nashua beat Isaiah Brien by pin. Gavin Page of Nashua also beat Dominic Schinella by decision, 14-9.

Jacoby Merrill of Concord won in the 175 by forfeit.

In junior varsity bouts, Isaiah Brien of Concord beat Craig Burke in the 120, Jace Frost of Nashua bested Kaden Sherman in the 144, Jeremy Richard of Concord beat Caleb Smith in the 144, and Jeffrey Riordon of Concord beat Connor Rivard in the 144-pound weight category. All wrestlers won by pins.

The Crimson Tide wrestlers will compete in the Salem Blue Devil Tournament on Saturday and then have their home opener against Windham on Wednesday.
