•LATEST “TALKING HONOR” PWTORCH LIVECAST COVERING ROH

“Beer City Bruiser.” This week, Emily Fear and Harley R. Pageot speak with ROH wrestler Beer City Bruiser about the origins of the toast of honor, tag team wrestling vs. singles wrestling, and whether or not he’s ready to move on from Silas. Plus: Emily and Harley discuss Silas Young vs. Eli Isom competing to earn a TV title match, the origin story of Lifeblood, how ROH’s social media and Honor Club events are undercutting the drama of their weekly TV, and how they’ve fared so far at introducing many new wrestlers to the roster in a short timeframe.

I’m into this.

A new episode of Planet Peacock, always good.

The Briscoes also won the award of only top tag-team left in the company.

👀 Taker is taking bookings!

•Closing Commentary

ROH in 2019 is beginning to take shape. Villain Enterprises (6-0), Bandido (4-0), and to a lesser extent Rush (1-0) have show to be the members of new talent that have been thrusted into potential top-tier status.

So what does this mean for Ring of Honor in this relatively new year? I am not aware of Bandido, Rush, Jeff Cobb, PCO, Dalton Castle, and Matt Taven’s contract status in terms of length. It is safe to assume that Marty and Flip will be joining AEW as soon as they possibly can. As a result, ROH management needs to know who they can reasonably assume they will have on the roster in six months, one year, two years, and five years from now.

That way they can build short, medium, and long term stories worthy of all of the talent listed above.

Also, I think it is time for ROH to step up and be the first major wrestling company to have a certain type of match. More on that next week.
