Another Shooting Being Investigated In Concord: Watch

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating another shooting, this time in the city’s North End.

Around 9:30 p.m., police dispatch took a call reporting a shooting at an apartment building on Jackson Street near Franklin Street. After sending officers, dispatch said a man reportedly accidentally shot the woman.

The dispatcher warned police the gun would be on the counter inside the apartment. The woman, dispatch said, was conscious and able to communicate. She had been shot in the genitalia, the first arriving officer confirmed.

Concord fire and rescue teams took the woman to the hospital while an officer followed.

Police ran a couple of different names for the woman, but they did not check out. Later, her correct name was found, and she was checked and cleared of any active warrants.

Officers also requested the evidence technician rig to the scene. Around the neighborhood, officers began speaking with residents to find witnesses and gather security video from residents in the area.

Around 10:30 p.m., a nurse at the hospital told one of the officers the woman was in stable condition.

On Saturday, police were called to Basin Street for a report of an accidental shooting. The caller reported shooting himself in the leg. Police on Sunday, however, reported it was investigating the incident, and the people involved had been identified.
