Patch Pet Profiles Led To 36 Adoptions In 2024

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The partnership began with an idea of how Patch could help a community organization.

With America’s oldest animal shelter located in Lower Bucks County, the idea was a no-brainer: Let’s feature a pet for adoption in a weekly series. The Women’s Animal Center in Bensalem Township was certainly up for the idea and a partnership was forged.

And this partnership has led to many dogs and cats finding their “furever” homes.

“Women’s Animal Center is truly grateful to Patch for their weekly shelter pet spotlights that raise awareness for the homeless animals in our care. Their partnership and investment in helping America’s First Animal Shelter find our shelter animals loving forever homes —uniting pets with people who will love them —is difference-making,” said Karen Lash, the center’s fundraising and communications director.

There are still a few on our featured list still seeking homes.

They are: Stella (brindle dog); Stella (white/senior dog); Minnie (dog); Darla (dog); Chase (dog); Bubbley (dog); Fiona (cat); and Dolly Purrton (cat).

The pets are available for adoption at Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, Pa. (PA Kennel License # 1516) 215.750.5252. Visit the Center’s website to view the shelter pets available for adoption or to make a donation: www.womensanimalcenter.org.
