12 Gunshots Fired By Ex-Boyfriend Into Victim's Car: Joliet Police
JOLIET — Two months after shooting up the vehicle belonging to his ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend, 19-year-old Chicagoan Anthony Quilambaqui returned to the scene of his Joliet crime, and that’s how Joliet police took him into custody this week, the arrest reports show.
Quilambaqui is now lodged in the Will County Jail on charges of reckless discharge of a gun and criminal property damage.
Joliet police spokesman Tizoc Landeros said the following sequence of events are how Quilambaqui’s arrest took place:

Back On October 3, at about 8 a.m., the officers responded to the 2900 block of Indian Springs Court for a fight. While officers were responding, they were advised that someone fired a gun towards another person.
The responding officers met with the victim. He told officers that he does not personally know the suspect, but Quilambaqui used to date his current girlfriend.

The victim was told by a neighbor that a person dressed in all black was in his front yard. The victim went outside to investigate. A fight ensued between the victim and Quilambaqui. Quilambaqui ran to his vehicle and retrieved a gun. The victim retreated to his house. The victim heard several gunshots. Quilambaqui then fled the area. The victim’s vehicle was struck 12 times.
This week, on Monday, about 4 a.m., Joliet police detectives learned that Quilambaqui was back in the 2900 block of Indian Springs. The detectives conducted surveillance and took Quilambaqui into custody without incident.
