OmBaked CBD Boutique Cuts Ribbon On New Shop At Lake Anne Plaza
RESTON, VA — Longtime Reston resident and entrepreneur Radhika Murari cut the ribbon Wednesday afternoon on the OmBaked CBD Boutique, her new retail business located at Lake Anne Plaza.
“I see it as the next step in the idea of creating wellness for the community,” Murari said, when asked what inspired her to open a CBD shop. “I’m of Indian descent and we 100 percent believe in western medication, but we also believe in the power plants and more natural means to promote wellness, both mentally and emotionally.”
Located next to the Lake Anne Brewhouse at 11414 Washington Plaza West, the boutique offers a variety of items containing CBD, which is a chemical derived hemp.

“Different types of CBD are thought to be beneficial in different ways,” Murari said. “The hemp plant is basically a close relative to the marijuana plant. But in America, if the THC content is 0.3 percent or lower, it’s considered hemp. We actually carry three types of CBD products. We carry full spectrum, which can have up to 2.3 percent THC, broad spectrum that has no THC and an isolate, which is pure CBD.”
Murari estimated that she visited about 100 CBD stores across the country before she launched her own store. One of the things she learned was that many customers were unfamiliar with which CBD products would be the most appropriate for their needs.

“The first thing I would be asked is, ‘How can I help you?’ and I didn’t know,” Murari said. “What we’ve done is we’ve organized our products according to the benefit that they promote. We have a section for ‘Chill,’ which helps in de-stressing, a section for ‘Move, which can help with aches and pains, ‘Sleep,’ things that help you focus.”
The boutique even has CBD products for pets and a section of products called “Pamper,” a section of items that people love the most, such as chocolate or tea, that make excellent gifts, according to Murari.
“Businesses like OmBaked add to the charm of Lake Anne,” said Charles Kapur, the president and CEO of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. “This is what makes Lake Anne such a wonderful retail destination for people to come and visit and explore business like this.”
