Art On The Green Brings Artists, Community Together
FRANKFORT, IL — The fourth annual Art on the Green, which brings “together area artists and the art-appreciating community,” will return to Breidert Green on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“This will be the Frankfort Arts Association’s fourth annual Art on the Green! We love the way this fine art fair has grown, bringing together area artists and the art-appreciating community,” Association President Christina Cooley said. “Each year it is a real joy, and we look forward to hosting the event for many years to come.”
The event will also feature the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra Quartet from 10 a.m. to noon; followed by awards and prizes for the winning artists at noon.

After the awards, the Lincoln-Way Youth Strings will perform from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

The Frankfort Chamber of Commerce will also hold its Community Showcase on Sunday.
“FAA is grateful to have regular art exhibits at Studio C and Frankfort Village Hall,” Cooley said. “We continue to search for a permanent home with space not only for gallery exhibits, but also for a retail gift shop, classroom, and studio spaces we can rent to artists. We hope that in the not-too-distant future, we will be able to share an entire art center, enriching our community by supporting and celebrating the artists in all of us.”
Art on the Green will feature 38 booths, with local artists and organizations. If weather is bad, the event will be held at the Founders Center.
“Please consider joining a committee or simply becoming a member. It is a wonderful way to get to know more like-minded creatives,” Cooley said.
