Acting Fire Chief Appointed By Milford Board Of Fire Commissioners

MILFORD, CT – After the retirement of Fire Chief Douglas Edo was announced, Milford’s Board of Fire Commissioners held a special meeting on June 5 to appoint an acting fire chief.

Milford’s Board of Fire Commissioners appointed Assistant Chief of Operations Anthony Fabrizi as interim Fire Chief of the Milford Fire Department.

“Chief Fabrizi has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our department,” Adam Hansen said, Milford Fire Department PIO.

Chief Fabrizi started his career with Milford Fire Department in September 1993. He began his career as a firefighter, working his way up to Assistant Chief of Operations, when the Board Of Fire Commissioners appointed him in October 2019.

“As we proceed throughout the weeks and months to come, we are confident Fabrizi will show the leadership needed to guide us through this new chapter,” Hansen said.
